Stock Picks Outpacing Markets
Friday, March 30th, 2007Five months into this little project, the portfolio has returned 11.14%. The stock picks and portfolio weathered quite a storm, for a short term player, in the past 6 weeks. We are currently sitting in a nearly 50/50 cash / equity position. I’d like to get back to 20 / 80, but I am not going to do it if I do not have the plays.
The blog continues to gain traffic momentum (thanks!) and I’ve been trying a variety of SEO tricks to get back onto Google Finance, to no avail (yet). I posted a while back that we opted into the SocialPicks automated services and that has drawn a marginal amount of traffic to the blog. I have been somewhat disappointed in their automated system, that still does not read my BUYS and SELLS correctly, giving a skewed overall performance to the blog. I am working on automating my own systems here, but I still do almost everything manually, working from a variety of different platforms, so thanks to those of you for pointing out typos and inconsistencies. Here’s the run down:
