Missed Opportunity: eBay (EBAY)

On September 28 I posted on another blog I edit about the possibility of eBay passing along a nice return in a short-run investment. I chose not to take my own advice. Here’s what it did:

Potential purchase price: $28.41 (09/28/2006)

5% sell trigger price: $29.83 (hit on 10/04/2006)

Highest close in 30-day window: $32.78 (10/26/2006)

Max potential return in 30-day window: 15.4%

Currently:
Open price: $32.13 (11/01/2006)
Average analyst target: $31.50
Average recommendation: Overweight
